Brilliant Blogs, Edition 14

Last time I did this post I talked about Nouvelle Daily, a blog that hits the beauty, fashion and lifestyle nails on the head. Today's blog though is definitely the Queen of all the above. I bring you Cupcakes and Cashmere blog..

I was first introduced to Cupcakes and Cashmere by my friend Hannah and since then I have been hooked. Cupcakes and Cashmere is penned by Emily Schuman and is her place to document all the things she loves. It's a fashion, interior and baking-lovers dream in short. Emily updates her blog most days with posts on home decor inspiration, fashion, sweet treats and more. If you're on the go then you'll like Emily's blog because her posts aren't too wordy and always contain beautiful visuals.

Brilliant Blogs, Edition 12-The British Beauty Bonanza

Up to last year I read a fair few blogs religiously. I don't know if my tastes have changed but that number has definitely dropped. What makes me go back to a blog is a story for another day but these four are definitely revisit-worthy. Today I bring you the fantastic three, the best of the British beauty blogs.

Vivianna Does Makeup This blog penned by Anna is crammed with all things beauty. Occasionally she dabbles in a bit of food and fashion blogging but for the most part she is a dedicated beauty blogger. Anna updates her blog daily with fresh posts so there is always something new to read. Vivianna Does Makeup is definitely one of my favourite blogs. Her reviews are fantastic and she always covers a nice range of products. Some of my favourite beauty products were first spotted on VDM, and these other blogs actually. Thanks for that Anna. I'm not sure my bank balance is as thankful..

I Covet Thee Alix's blog was actually recommended to me by a friend of mine and I'm so glad she told me about it. Alix blogs mainly about beauty but she also shares a lot of lifestyle posts including her fashionable finds and snippets of her life captured on Instagram. Alix shares blog posts a few times a week but she also makes YouTube videos as well which are well worth the watch. Alix is a similar age to me and she always shares beauty products+fashion purchases that are within my price range which I like. Sometimes when people talk about their designer bags in videos I can feel a bit disconnected. Anyway, definitely check out I Covet Thee. Alix has fabulous style and is always in the know about the best of all things beauty.

Morning everyone! It feels like ages since I've done one of these posts & I think I'll get back in the habit of doing them more often. There's plenty of fantastic blogs out there that deserve to be shared. You'd have to have been hiding behind a well constructed rock though to have not heard of this month's brilliant blog Someone Like You. Lauren pens a fashion blog with diary-like entries about her everyday life. It is without a doubt the most refreshing, honest blog that I have ever read. It's very inspiring to read and Lauren's pictures are always beautiful to look at as well.

The lovely Lauren was kind enough to answer some questions about her blog and a few of her favourite things today. Read on for her answers;

What made you decide to start Someone Like You? What do you love most about blogging?

-I was really bad at writing in my journal every night, but I still wanted a way to document my life. I thought that writing it on a blog might be easier and more convenient! Around that same time my English teacher told me I should start documenting my every day outfits to see how my style evolved so my blog turned into a personal writing+fashion blog! What I love most about blogging is hearing from people who read my blog. Incredible stories, testimonies, thoughts from real girls and guys all over the world. I cherish everyone who reads my blog so very much and they're all like my friends.

Two of the things I love most about any of my favourite blogs are that they usually contain gorgeous imagery, fabulous fashion & brilliant writing. Today's brilliant blog ticks all of these boxes & more. I am always inspired by many of the posts on this blog & hopefully you will be too!

Today I bring you Here Comes The Sun penned by Amanda Thomas.

Amanda wearing a Twenty Seven Names dress in a recent post.

Amanda is a blogger based in Auckland who documents her adventures, personal style, photography & inspiration. Her blog has a mixture of outfit posts, places she visits & documents, other artist's work & more. If you love stunning photography then you need to visit this blog because Amanda's images always look amazing.

Love these sequinned cuffs! I'm a bit obsessed with sequined detailing at the moment.

What really strikes me about Amanda's blog is how perfectly composed everything is. I love her outfit posts in particular to daydream about what I'd wear if I had the money & then all the cute cafes & eateries she reviews. As I live in Auckland I am often looking for cute little places to explore & adventure to, Here Comes The Sun has introduced me to many of my current favourite places & online stores to explore. It has also inspired me to improve my Photography, both for the images I take blogging & during every day life.

You can also find more of Amanda's pretty pictures on Instagram @herecomesthesun

*Do you have blogs that inspire you? Leave me a comment below with your favourites, I'd love to hear which you frequent!

So last month you may remember me mentioning that I'd recently fallen in love with two fashion blogs. Today I bring you the second of those blogs, Views of Now. Views of Now is penned by Isabella who describes herself as; a fifteen year old half Australian/half American schoolgirl who enjoys nothing more than taking photos and telling the stories behind them.

Views of Now is the perfect blog to find style inspiration, browse through beautiful photography, marvel at impeccable styling & learn some style+beauty tips along the way. I love Isabella's blog design as well & her posts are always incredibly well composed.

Yes, that is a Rodarte for Target dress. How gorgeous is it?

Isabella was kind enough to answer a few questions about her Fashion & Blog for me this month. Click below if you want to learn more about Views of Now. Be sure to follow her on Instagram for more beautiful pictures.

I recently stumbled upon two gorgeous fashion & lifestyle blogs. They are both beautifully written & always accompanied by stunning photography. Today's post is about the first of those two blogs; Avenue Maria.

Avenue M is the brainchild of Maria from Australia. She describes herself as a vintage enthusiast with a love for art, photography cups of tea & her family. Her blog is crammed with inspiration; from her personal style through to the DIYs & pretty pictures she finds via her Pinterest.

Maria's blog interface! I told you it was stunning.

How often do you stumble across a great product on a blog, only to find it is not sold where you live? How often do you find yourself avoiding critic's reviews because they're known to not favour their subjects? If you answered yes to either of the above then Hannah Rogers' blog is the blog for you.

Hannah's blog regularly features reviews on two of the things she loves the most; beauty products + services and movies. She also looks at fashion must-haves from New Zealand designers.

It's no coincidence that every time this post is done, a New Zealand blogger is featured. The standard of Fashion Blogging in our little country is particularly high. It is perhaps thanks to Isaac Hindin Miller, Isaac Likes to bloggers and tweeters alike, that this is the case.

Isaac started his menswear focused blog in 2008 and since then his success has taken off. Isaac is a regular columnist for the New Zealand Herald during Fashion Week both locally and internationally, he contributes to T Magazine (a supplement in the New York Times) and most recently gained the title of Creative Director for Barkers brand Little Brother.

Sometimes it can be frustrating trying to find a blog which covers so many topics and ensures they have the right balance of everything. I can safely say though that One More the blog of local designer Evie Kemp manages this perfectly.

Blogs are so much better to peruse than whiling away the hours on Facebook, are they not? Here are two of my personal favourites which are both unique, charmingly written and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

Cecylia.com is a Melbourne style blog created by Cecylia Kee who wanted an outlet outside of her day job where she could post on all things fashion. She regularly posts images of outfits which she wears out and about on Melbourne adventures as well as inside looks at the places she visits with the people she sees.

I really love the almost whimsical quality to her posts. This one in particular at Disneyland and this always make me smile.

Be sure to like her page over on Facebook as well.

Lemonwood and Honey is the brainchild of my lovely friend Britney. Her blog encompasses he magical and the mysterious, neatly tying them all together in one brown paper package. She regularly posts on topics like music, the stars (and space),c raft, literature and cooking. There are some seriously good 'Cauldron Cake' a la Harry Potter recipes on there if you hunt hard enough.

Britney secretly goes to Hogwarts School. Just quietly...

I particularly love her 'Wordy Wednesday' posts as well as her photo journalling.

Also be sure to look at her Tumblr here.
