Where To Find Nana Wintour

Where To Find Nana Wintour

Today I thought I'd do a round-up of all my social media links. Whether you're new to Nana Wintour or visit frequently, this guide will let you know where else you can find me online. I'm in the process of making a YouTube channel too so once that's live I'll update this list+tweet out a link.

Facebook-All my blog post updates go live here first which then link on over to Twitter. I tend to post once a day on my page at the moment so if you're not hearing about a new post, there's bound to be something else fashion or beauty related appearing on there.

Bloggers Club-nzgirl have recently established a sister site for bloggers which essentially acts as a platform for other brands+people to find us and see our work. Here you'll find posts I have written for nzgirl along with links to some of my social media profiles. I often write about topics that I don't cover on Nana Wintour (e.g. recipes) so give me a follow, if you want to.

Pinterest-I love pinboards and creating visual collages so it's hardly surprising that I love Pinterest as well. You'll find a bit of everything on my boards; recipes, fashion, more beauty, wise words and interior inspiration just to name a few.

The Best Of The Fashion Instagrammers

There are so many inspiring fashion bloggers, designers and creatives on Instagram. It was difficult for me to narrow this list down. As I've been writing this post more names have come to mind but we'd be here all day if I included everyone-if you follow me on Instagram you'll be able to see who they are though. I follow more fashion 'grammers than beauty ones actually. Here's the fashion ones that have me inspired and, you guessed it, reaching for that heart button-if they have blogs too then I highly recommend having a look at those as well..

Shop Style Conquer+Tardaeda-Ellen and Tara are the masterminds behind Shop Style Conquer. Expect to see regular outfit posts, cute Starbucks snaps and more pretty pictures. Side note: A lot of these girls post stunning photos so you'll begin to notice a theme. Shop Style Conquer is one of my favourite local blogs at the moment and it's well worth the browsing session if you're unfamiliar with it.

What Olivia Did-I accidentally stumbled upon Olivia's Instagram when I was searching for photos of a beauty product. I'm so glad I found it though! Her style pays tribute to times gone by like the sixties and it's so pretty and girly. I love it!

Alexa Chung-The style icon for many a women-Alexa has the whole effortless chic thing down. You'll see front row snaps, designer clothing, selfies and artsy shots aplenty. The day is always better with an Alexa 'gram or two.

Teen Vogue-This is so cliched but I've loved Teen Vogue for so long. The work they do inspires me so much, so naturally it'd make sense for me to be following their Instagram. You'll see plenty of behind the scenes photos from editorials, events, even backstage at fashion week. Editor in Chief Amy Astley's Instagram is worth the follow too.

The Best Of The Beauty Instagrammers

#fact I love Instagram. Whether it's stunning food photoscute cat snaps or beauty and fashion themed pictures, there is something about it that is addicting and we all love it. Today I thought I'd share with you some of my favourite Beauty Instagram accounts to follow. This is by no means all of my favourites but of all the beauty-folk that I follow, these ones probably see me reaching for the heart button the most.

Evachen212 Eva was the Beauty Editor over at Teen Vogue until last year when she became Editor in Chief of Lucky magazine. She regularly shares photos of new products across her desk, macarons, skincare and what she's used up lately. If you want snapshots of upcoming products to look forward to, or even instant recommendations then you should give her account a follow.

Into The Gloss The ladies who bought us the infamous top shelf posts on their blog also share their lives in photos. They post inspiring quotes, beauty editorial photos and of course stunning pictures from their blog posts. ITG is such a brilliant blog if you're looking for product recommendations or the scoop on what some of fashion and beauty's famous faces love and use.

Mecca Cosmetica Readers outside Australia and New Zealand, Mecca is like a very scaled down Sephora or Space NK. Expect to see behind the scenes snaps from Mecca HQ, new products arriving on the shelves and even staff favourites. Their regular nail polish photos will have you wanting to rush out and buy the shades they're sporting too. Give them a follow if you love all things beauty.

Get fabulously Insta-savvy with Here Comes The Sun Blog

Hi everyone, it's Amanda from Here Comes the Sun. I'm here today to share with you a few of my top tips for improving and growing your instagram account. Here are some of the tricks that have helped me grow my instagram to 17,000+ and I hope they help you too!

Think before you post: This is probably my number one rule. Not every moment of your day needs to be uploaded to instagram, so just pick the highlights. My personal rule of thumb is no more than two images per day and I space them out rather than posting one after the other. You don't want to overwhelm your followers - if i scroll through my feed and it's completely clogged up by one person, I'll usually unfollow them and I know other people do the same.

Composition and balance: It's important to think about how your image will fit into a square and how to frame it up nicely. White space and balance are so important but it's also good to play around with cropping too. Unless you want every photo to look similar (which is fine, many people go for a 'look' they want their photos to fit with) it's good to play with the cropping and see what works for you. Sometimes a close up of a detail works better than trying to fit the whole image into the frame!

April Photo Challenge: Part 1.

So, as I'm sure nobody has realised I am still completely in love with Instagram. So much that I decided to revisit the 'Photo A Day Challenge' this month. Here's the first 14 of my photos. Day 15 was actually a sunset photo which I didn't do because I was at Jersey Boys.

Anyway, without further ado:

1) Your reflection

2)  Colour.

3) Mail.

4) Someone who makes you happy.

5) Tiny.

6)  Lunch.

7) Shadow.

8) Inside your wallet.

9) Younger you.

10) Cold.

11) Where you ate breakfast.

12) Stairs.

13) Something you found.

14)  How you feel today.

15)  -

Fabulous February-Part 2.

Here's the second part of the February Photo A Day Challenge for 2012. I really enjoyed doing this, and it was interesting to see how everyone's approaches to the key words for the day varied.

Fabulous February

As I'm sure, much to nobody's surprise I love taking pictures, especially pictures that I can sneakily turn into ones which look like they've been taken with a film camera. Props to Instagram!

Anyway, this month along with many other Instagram users I've been doing the "Feb Photo A Day" challenge created by @FatMumSlim. Every day for the month of February users get given a key word or a series of words as a brief of sorts and must take a photo satisfying that.

So without further ado, here are the first 15 of my photos for the challenge. I hope you like them!

Your view today.

The Week that Was

The Week that Was

Undoubtedly one of the best things about owning an iPhone 4 is being able to utilise the fantastic Instagram app. For those of you who aren't familiar Instagram is basically a digitised film camera. It takes photos using a square format and then allows you to apply numerous filters, frames and effects such as blurring to your images. You can then upload these images to Facebook or Twitter and share them with everyone else.

Why I love it so much is that you don't need to carry around a digital camera, which let's face it can be annoying. Instagram is great for when you're on the go and need to document something quickly. I'd be very lost without it.

Here are some snapshots I took this week. Apologies (in advance) for the Christmas theme emerging! At least it's only once a year no?

1. My trusty umbrella which I picked up at Mary Poppins in Sydney last month. It's been raining all week where I live, despite it being Summer. Nonetheless I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd enjoyed bringing this out for a spin!

2. Christmas Cupcakes. These were made and hand-delivered by a friend of mine this week. So lovely to come home to after a stressful day out and about.

3. Dog paws.

4. Our Christmas tree up close. My brother made those blue and red lights you can see. Pretty darn fancy if you ask me.
