Well December you were dazzling, delicious & more often than not, delightful. It has been a busy month but it has been a really awesome one, the perfect way to end the year really.

Without further ado, here is a look at what happened in December;

Well September you were, and still are; Super, surprising, styling (for the first part), shocking & finally sunny. In just over a month I will be on Summer Holidays & making my way through the DIY's & scrumptious Recipes I've been pinning as well as starting some other projects. I can't wait!

In the meantime, here is what my iPhone & Instagram documented this month. I also use Pic Fx a fair bit too, if you don't have that app you are missing out-It is like a never ending wardrobe of filters, to borrow a Narnia reference.

So Day 3 seemed quieter in terms of the amount of shows but it was definitely a lot of fun. Highlights include meeting & chatting to new people, chatting to not so new people & the two shows that I attended. This week has been amazing so I'm actually quite sad it's almost over.

So Day 2 has been rather interesting (I'm too tired to think of better adjectives) & I've been doing some transcribing & writing for NZ Fashion Files. I did manage to get to the New Gen show this morning, albeit slightly late but it was amazing. Sounds Of... & Arielle Mirman stood out for me, especially the latter. I will be reviewing her show in the not too distant future. I also attended the Riddle Me This & Trelise Cooper shows & saw some more lovely people today which is always nice.

So I decided seeing as I am taking a lot of photos this week that it'd be best to do a day by day summary of what I documented at New Zealand Fashion Week. I have published some of these elsewhere so sorry if you've already seen these pictures, but hopefully there'll be some you haven't seen as well.

Well July, you have been a jumble. It was almost like life went to the pick & mix bins. There was the good, the not so good & everything in between. July was rather relaxing though & a lot of fun & exciting things happened.

Well June you have been joyous and extremely cold+busy+fun. Half of the year is gone and I've only got a month left of playing Peter Pan, as of today. Now that's frightening food for thought.

Blank walls are very much blank canvases in my eyes. To those who love visuals, walls can be a way of creating life-sized collages, vision boards or even mock-magazine layouts all in one easy access space!

The best thing about this form of creating your own personal gallery if you will is that it needn't be a costly exercise.

• These are all collages which were made for my high school note folders using an assortment of computer images, magazine segments and perfume sample cards. It took me a while to decide how to reuse these but I think they look fantastic on my wardrobe doors.

• My black and white photo collage is possibly my favourite wall feature which I've made so far.  To achieve this I firstly sourced images from sites like Fashion Gone Rogue and friend's Tumblrs, then it was simply a matter of getting them all printed out. From memory I had about forty or fifty photos done for roughly 7-8 dollars, at a local HP photo centre. Then armed with blutack I made the selection you see before you. *

• Pin boards are the easiest way to display images, personal mementoes, anything a drawing pin can deal with really! Mine gets updated bimonthly with a variety of my own photos, magazine clippings, cards and more. Pin-boards are great for displaying a lot of things at once, are relatively cost effective if you use items you have already and are a great way to showcase your favourite things, rather than having them in storage.

• Brochures are often great to bring home from shows in particular, especially if you don't wish to ruin your souvenir programs! These are all brochures I've collected from shows I've seen overseas. The Audrey Hepburn photos are from a calendar I was given and saved at the end of one year, and the print you see is by artist 'Dear Colleen' and can be found here. Collecting and grouping similar photos together of what interests you is another effective way of displaying what you love.

Undoubtedly one of the best things about owning an iPhone 4 is being able to utilise the fantastic Instagram app. For those of you who aren't familiar Instagram is basically a digitised film camera. It takes photos using a square format and then allows you to apply numerous filters, frames and effects such as blurring to your images. You can then upload these images to Facebook or Twitter and share them with everyone else.
