Lush Lovin'

Lush Lovin'

Ahh Lush. The metropolis of all things bright, sparkly and delicious for a bit of pampering or TLC for the body. I love to use Lush soaps in particular as they don't irritate my sensitive skin, usually smell delicious and last a reasonable amount of time. There are a huge range of products in Lush's arsenal and I decided to buy some that I hadn't use before. Let's face it, the same old things get boring after a while. Also who doesn't like trying guilt-free, handmade products? On with the haul..

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner This is one of Lush's best-selling products and it is easy to see why. This body conditioner is designed to be applied all over like a shampoo and then rinsed off after showering. You don't need to use a body moisturiser after using this either as all the moisture you need is contained in this little gem. This ultra creamy product smells like Rose Turkish Delight, delicious in other words. I don't have particularly dry skin but when I use this I notice my skin feels a lot smoother and softer. It definitely helps for rough patches around the elbows too.

Repurchase? Yes, although this is quite pricy it performs really well. If Lush did smaller sizes too it'd be fantastic but this really does last a long time.

You've Been Mangoed Luxury Bath Melt This bath melt is designed to be dropped into the bath where it melts all its goodness into the bath, ready for your skin to soak up. This bath melt is formulated with mango and avocado butters and lemon and lime essential oils. When you smell this bath melt in solid form it smells fruity and tropical. Once it has melted into the bath however its scent seems to disappear which is a little disappointing. Much like Ro's Argan this leaves your skin a lot softer afterwards so there is no need to use a body moisturiser.

Repurchase? Maybe. While I was a little disappointed with the staying power of this scent I did find it a lovely, luxurious addition to my bath time. Next I want to try the Melting Marshmallow Moment bath melt though.

Monday Marvel #22: Say hello to Korres!

Korres are a Greek Beauty+Skincare company who are intent on only using natural ingredients in their products. This is one of the many reasons to love their products. I've been trying one of the lip butters & have loved it so much that I thought you'd like to hear about them too!

Pictured; Jasmine, Quince & Guava.

Korres have a range of 6 lip butters; Quince, Pomegranate, Mango, Guava, Jasmine & Wild Rose. I own the Jasmine one & it smells divine, like cookies actually! It also works really well too. Once the balm comes into contact with your lips it will melt into them. The lip butter is quite possibly the most moisturising one out there & the colours all add a nice tint to your lips too.

So the answer is yes, you do need these in your beach bag this Summer!

-Korres Lip Butters can be bought online at ASOS or Feel Unique.

November Favourites

It's that time of the month again where I sit & think about what products I have loved using & as much as I'd like to write about all of them, there were a select few which definitely stood out to me this month. I've also been using a few new products that I've bought over the past few months lately & have enjoyed many of them, which you will read about soon!

Anyway, without further ado here are my beauty favourites for November;

Monday Marvel #21: Tech-sessorise.

Undoubtedly one of the best aspects of owning an iPhone is having the opportunity to protect or display it in a lovely case. Forget plain, block colours, it's all about glitter, prints, photographs, illustrations & patterns. Thankfully Iconemesis tick plenty of these boxes.

Iconemesis' aim is to produce a great collection of beautiful artworks that allow buyers to express their individuality, through their case. I think they've successfully done that. How gorgeous are all of the cases pictured above? I love the Fifi Lapin Cupcake & the Pink Florals, they're so pretty!!

-I hope the start of your week is fabulous. Sorry this post is a little brief, I've been away all weekend & today I'm starting a Summer School Paper so it's been a bit crazy here lately.

Summer Wishlist+A Giveaway!!

It's been a while since I've compiled a proper wishlist & the change of season seemed an appropriate time to start dreaming of new things again. There are definitely things on here which I won't ever dream of owning unless I win the lottery (ahem, Mulberry bag) but some I'd quite happily see joining my wardrobe & life in the not too distant future.

I'd quite like all of the above but if I was to pick a favourite item from this list it'd have to be the Mulberry 'Alexa' bag, inspired by the one & only Alexa Chung of course. I need a decent sized handbag which is big enough to fit all my essentials in, but not so big that I can't find anything & this one would be perfect. Again, when I win Lotto this would be one of the first things I bought.

September Favourites

It seems like only last week that I was selecting my favourite beauty & skincare products of August. I really mixed up my products this month, particularly during Fashion Week & also because it was the holidays so I had more time to use a lot of different products.

Anyway, without further ado here's the products I've been loving during September.

August Favourites.

So I thought about doing a haul post but I think those are more effective on YouTube. Instead I've decided to collate a list of the products I've been loving each month. Some may be completely new, some are ones I've rediscovered. Either way, I hope you like my August picks!

Let me know in the comments section if you use any of these products as I would love to hear your thoughts about them.

New to the Beauty Bazaar: America Direct Finds.

If you saw this post last week you'd know already that my America Direct haul had arrived while I was on holiday. My products actually arrived about a month ago but I wanted to wait a bit before reviewing them. The reason for this is there was one product which I was still a bit unsure about but I have now decided how I feel about it.

Without further ado, here is my haul, albeit a rather small one from America Direct.

Say hello to Nation State!

Say hello to Nation State!

Many of you will have heard of Mag Nation, the destination in Australia & New Zealand to head to if you want to get the best magazines the world has to offer. Well now they have a sister store, an online stationery heaven called Nation State.

Nation State are based in Melbourne's CBD. They're dedicated to "selling the best stationery & other cool stuff" they love. So, what exactly are some of the cool items that Nation State sell? Here's some of my favourites which I've picked out;

1. Pink XL Moleskines (Ruled), $25.90. -New Zealand's only just started getting more of the Moleskine range in the last couple of years but I am yet to see the Pink notebooks in our stores. I love these colours & they'd be perfect to brighten up an otherwise boring home or work desk.

2. Pantone iPhone 4 Case, $44.95. * -I seem to have an obsession with the colour pink at the moment! I'm blaming Leah for this seeing as two of my manicures have been pink. Anyway, like the notebooks this would be perfect to brighten your phone. Look how bright that colour is! You'd never lose your iPhone in your bag again.

Today I was wonderstruck by Wocolate. My wishlist includes...

Wocolate is a local online store which stocks wondrous things. Owners Josh & Sarah's aim is to;  fill this store with goods of character that one will cherish and will endure, with prices that are affordable so they are accessible to everyone. There are so many nostalgic and beautiful items in their store which you will fall in love with.

Here's a selection of some of my favourite things from Wocolate:

1. Fluoro Pink Cambridge Satchel, $205. I have a brown one of these & they are such gorgeous bags. They also store quite a lot as well, if you're creative with that.

2. Flower Bomb Earrings in Black, $30. These are currently on sale & would make great statement earrings. The colour is versatile enough that these could be worn with a lot of different looks as well.

3. Happy Socks, $24. As I said a couple of weeks ago these would be great for winter. Wocolate stock a wide range of colours so you could even mix & match pairs, if you're feeling brave.

Products I Love: The Sleepwear Edition.

When I think of sleepwear, flattery, comfort and style don't usually come to mind. That all changed when these were given to me last year as a birthday gift:

Aren't they cute? And they even have pockets! How often do pyjama pants have pockets? Perfect iPod storage solution when you're lying in bed.

So who designs such stylish sleepwear? Peter Alexander of course. Believe it or not, he was voted less likely to succeed in high school. Since identifying a gap in the Australian market for stylish women's sleepwear his popularity has soared. His brand was established in 2000 and he has opened stores in every state of Australia as well as several throughout New Zealand. For international readers, don't fret, Peter has an online store.

Products I Love: MAC Cosmetics.

Many bloggers refuse to devote themselves to one brand of cosmetics, and I'm no exception. *Cough*. Okay, the cat's out of the extremely shredded bag. I love MAC Cosmetics.

That is more or less my entire collection, minus a couple of things. I didn't realise I had quite this much. No really.....

You may be thinking hang on a minute, MAC's super pricy in the Southern Hemisphere. I've been really lucky to say the least. A lot of what you see in the photo above has been given to me as gifts, bought using redeemed vouchers or in Duty Free/Overseas. If you're willing to pay for MAC's high-quality products then it's worth hunting around for the best prices and saving a bit for it.
