What I've seen at MBFWA

So MBFWA, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia if I'm going to be proper, has been taking place this week in Sydney. Quite a few of the lovely bloggers I follow have been there all week documenting the shows, backstage chaos and fashionistas outside the event so it practically feels like I'm there. Maybe next year I'll be at those shows too.

Anyway, here's some of my favourite images from the week, thus far. Enjoy!

What I Love Weekly #2

1.  Pampering. Today I'm getting my nails done by the lovely Leah Light. Leah always does an amazing job and it is always great to catch up with her. I'm sure future me will tell you that I am going to love my new nails!

2. This lipstick; Heroine from MAC's limited edition, Reel Sexy range, $40. This colour was the favourite among kiwi fashion bloggers and I was lucky to get one of the last in this shade. There are also some gorgeous apricots and peachy pinks available so do go check them out.

3. Anna Wintour, goddess to fashion. A friend and I were discussing how Anna says some of the most fashionably insightful things this week. Here's an excerpt of Wintour's wisdom:

April in Pictures.

Oh April you were awesome, action-packed & a little bit awful. That's okay though, all the great things that happened totally made up for the bad. Does it scare anybody else that it's May already? This year seems to be going way too quickly!

Here's some of the documented highlights from the month that was:

From left to right:

1) Easter was the perfect excuse to indulge in Marshmallow Eggs. We even tried different flavours like choc mint & hokey pokey too, which were just as tasty if not more.

2) Glassons on Queen St unveiled a new look this month & it's safe to say this store looks fantastic. It reminds me of Urban Outfitters & some of the high street stores in London, which is always a good thing. Plus, one of my friends is responsible for some of the new features in there. Check it out if you're in Auckland.

3) My pinboard had a makeover this month. I was going for an old Hollywood vs Garden Party theme.

4) My iPod died completely about three or so weeks ago now. Definitely not a highlight of the month, I still haven't replaced it.

5) Had my nails done at Magic Tan and Beauty. The colour you see is a Colour Gloss shade called With It.

6) High tea was enjoyed with one of my school friends over the holidays & it inspired me to drink tea a lot more often. Best served with cake & presented on china.

Mid Week Music

Sitting On Top Of The World is the first song off Delta's forthcoming album, and she calls it a bright, upbeat, unabashed call to the universe, about embracing life in those moments when everything seems just right. "It's about watching for the signs, listening, and then when you're sitting in the right spot in the light, you're sitting on top of the world. I think a lot of people can relate to that."

I love this song. It's so catchy and the lyrics are so upbeat. Don't be surprised if it makes you want to sing at the top of your lungs, or get up and dance away from your computer.

Products I Love: MAC Cosmetics.

Many bloggers refuse to devote themselves to one brand of cosmetics, and I'm no exception. *Cough*. Okay, the cat's out of the extremely shredded bag. I love MAC Cosmetics.

That is more or less my entire collection, minus a couple of things. I didn't realise I had quite this much. No really.....

You may be thinking hang on a minute, MAC's super pricy in the Southern Hemisphere. I've been really lucky to say the least. A lot of what you see in the photo above has been given to me as gifts, bought using redeemed vouchers or in Duty Free/Overseas. If you're willing to pay for MAC's high-quality products then it's worth hunting around for the best prices and saving a bit for it.
