February Favourites

During February my daily makeup routine didn't change an entire lot as I was mainly trialling these products & saving for my holiday. Come March I may have some new things to try as some of my go-to products are running low, there are a bunch of new collections landing in store & I have a pile of products to make my way through so keep an eye out for them. In saying that I have been loving each & every one of these products this month & would happily repurchase them too.

Here's the beauty products I have loved during February

Lush Sea Spray Hair Mist, $12.50. This salty spritz is designed to give your hair volume, body & hold. By working this product through your hair you can create beach waves, a la Alexa Chung, who has gorgeous hair. I love having hair that looks beachy but not too messy & this hair mist is perfect for achieving that look. It also smells amazing, being perfumed with oils like Neroli & Rosewood.

MAC Cosmetics Caramel Sundae Eyeshadow Palette, I won it at Blogger's Club-from the limited edition Archie's Girls collection in stores Monday. This palette contains the shades 'Cheryl Chic', 'Dream Maker', 'Caramel Sundae' & 'Showstopper'. I particularly love the two middle colours, which look great with Mac's Reflects Pearl glitter over the top. The packaging for this palette is also really cute with the eyeshadows presented in a tin much like an old school pencil tin. Keep an eye out for the rest of the collection next week because it is rather fabulous.

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Bisque, $50. Bobbi Brown's Correctors are designed to reduce the appearance of under eye circles. I use this to conceal any lines under my eyes, any discoloration around the eye area & on my face as well. The product is cream based & conceals any imperfections for 7 to 8 hours once set with powder. This should be an essential in anyone's makeup bag!

NARS Blush in Orgasm, $59. The perfect blush to me has to be pigmented but still look natural without the glitter being an overpowering quality. Thankfully this NARS blush delivers. If you're worried about the glitter it isn't noticeable but this depends on how much blush you choose to wear. It has fantastic pigmentation & is a great shade for a wide range of skintones. If you're after something more shimmery then their is a shade similar called Super Orgasm which you may like.

MAC 217 Brush, around $40 from memory. This brush is great for placing eyeshadow shades across the lid & then blending them as well. You can also use this brush to blend concealer if you want to as well. This brush gets a lot of hype from beauty bloggers & vloggers online & it is definitely worth it. Other shadow brushes I've used haven't spread & deposited as much colour on the lid as I would like, this one definitely does.

MAC Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in A Natural Flirt, a Christmas gift-part of a limited edition range. This colour is so so beautiful & looks gorgeous blended with Mac's Naked Lunch shadow & Reflects Pearl glitter for a more dramatic neutral eye. I love it. Hopefully it is rereleased again this year.

Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate, available here. These lip butters are fantastic. This colour leaves your lips with a subtle coral red tint. These are a perfect alternative if you aren't in the mood for lipstick but still want your lips to have a subtle pop of colour.
