New to the Beauty Bazaar

So I've done a little bit of beauty shopping recently. All these things are products I've wanted to try for a long time or were missing from my collection. This will probably be the last haul style post I do for a while as I'm saving for an overseas trip in November but you'll still see new things in my favourites posts and the odd review here and there.

So here's what made its way into the beauty bazaar lately..

That candle in the background is by Citta Design. I'm not sure what scent it is but it smells amazing.

Urban Decay 'Chill' Makeup Setting Spray, purchased from Beauty Bay. My Fix+ spray by Mac has more or less run out. I've been through three or so bottles in the last year and it's not the cheapest of setting sprays so I didn't really want to repurchase it. I'd heard lots of good things about the Urban Decay setting sprays so I decided to purchase this one. This setting spray is a hydrating and cooling spray that fixes makeup firmly into place. It is very lightweight, and it sets pretty quickly once spritzed. I've used this a couple of times already and it definitely does make a difference. My makeup lasts a lot longer before it needs retouching as well. I'm impressed so far!

EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet I've seen these lip balms before at a couple of stores in Auckland but an American grocery-style store had the best selection of flavours so I grabbed this one. It really does smell like strawberry icecream, so good! The EOS lip balms are 95% organic and are formulated without petroleum or parabens aka the nasty stuff. Usually I find drug store lip balms can be quite drying but this one doesn't seem to be. My lips were quite dehydrated before I got this and they seem to be fine again now. If your lips are dry then you should definitely try to track these down.

Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover Bioderma is amazing but it is not so good at removing heavy eye makeup. This Clarins eye makeup remover however is like Bioderma for eyes. This removes all eye makeup, even the most stubborn of mascaras and eyeliner. It is also incredibly gentle on the eyes and does not feel drying at all. This is definitely worth the hype it gets!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Streak This was an Anna and Amelia inspired purchased. I've been really attracted to coral lip products lately and I don't own any coral pinks so I opted for this shade. I've only worn this once so I can't really comment on how it performs yet. I did notice that this lipstick applies creamily and sets. It doesn't have a matte texture exactly but it did seem to last a while without feeling drying on the lips. So far, so good.

*What new beauty products have you purchased lately?

  1. I've seen so many people with those EOS lip balms recently! I'm guessing you got yours from Martha's Backyard? Do you think it's worth going out there to get one or would you say they are overhyped? x

    1. Me too! Yup I got mine at Martha's Backyard. I was there today though and they only had the Mint ones left so maybe wait a little while before visiting. I really like mine. It's not too thick/heavy if that makes sense so I find it doesn't make my lips go chapped or anything. Better than Baby Lips for sure! x
