The Spring Beauty Edit

I love Spring. It's not unbearably hot or ridiculously cold. Flowers make a reappearance and strawberries start to come back in season. Spring is also the time when wine-red lipsticks and vampier eyeshadows start to disappear. Bring in the Spring beauty edit; pink lips, a touch of pastel and cheeks lit from within. All bases covered..

Benefit Blush in Rockateur This is Benefit's newest boxed blush and it doesn't disappoint. Admittedly the packaging really isn't my favourite but the blush itself is fantastic so that's all that matters. Rockateur is a rose-gold shade. It isn't as shimmery as some of Benefit's other boxed blushes so if you aren't a fan of glittery face powders then you may like this one. The colour itself is quite subtle but it really gives you the most gorgeous glow. I love it!

Mac Eyeshadow in A Natural Flirt (limited edition) This shade is like a lighter version of All That Glitters. Shimmery champagne shadows like this look so pretty swept across the eye with a little bit of mascara. Perfect for low key makeup days.

Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs A floral, fruity fragrance, how cliched of me. I love all of Marc Jacobs' fragrances though. Any of his Daisy perfumes are great to wear in Spring and Summer. I often find myself adding this to my bag when I'm holidaying during those two seasons. It's so lightweight and  it smells amazing.

Mac Paint Pot in Let's Skate Cream eyeshadows are great bases but they also look just as good worn sheerly on their own. This pretty pink works well with champagne toned eyeshadows and adds a touch of shimmer and sparkle to the eyes.

Bobbi Brown Lipgloss in Pretty in Pink (limited edition) I feel like Spring and Summer are the best time to wear lipgloss for some reason. If you want to take your lipstick from matte to glossy simply dab some gloss over the top. Sheer pinks like this one are perfect for that purpose.

Butter London Nail Polish in Fiver Pastel polishes are perfect for this time of year. This mint shade is one of my favourites. Butter nail colours are so easy to apply and last a long time on the nail. This mint green would be a great base for some nail art or a sheer glitter top coat as well.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Bronze and Mac Handforged Eye Pencil (limited edition) Time to retire that black eyeliner. Metallic liners can be quite subtle. If you like your eyeliner to look slightly undone then these pencils are great. Simply take a flat eyeshadow brush and lightly smudge the line to make it look less flawless.

Mac Lipsticks in Creme Cup and Impassioned Pink lipsticks, how I love thee. Creamy, pigmented pinks make a nice change from matte reds. They might not be as long lasting but they sure look lovely and summery. Lipgloss optional.
