The Week #92

The Week in Instagrams @nanawintour: *Wednesday delights including some delightful cards from the lovely Lauren of Someone Like You. You can't beat handwritten cards. *Get beach hair without having to enter the sea. *Bluebells Cakery on Wednesday. I decided to break tradition and had some of their Coconut Ice instead. It was so good and not ridiculously sugary either. *Unwinding with the Weekend issue of Kinfolk magazine. It's a good 'un. *What was on my eyes one day towards the end of last week. I'm loving the Groundwork paint pot from Mac at the moment. *Britney came to visit! She bought me one of Sophie Dahl's cookbooks which I'm so excited about! I love Sophie's cooking show and her blog. We also had chocolate which is always a good thing.

Must-Watch of the Week: This week I sat down & spent some time watching Lisa Eldridge's brilliant videos. I particularly liked this one she did with Sophie Dahl. The look she creates is so simple and perfect to conceal the fact that you've had one too many sleepless nights. Lisa has the best tips and tricks too. I highly regret not looking at her channel until this week!

Product of the Week: There's a few products that have stood out this week, the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks being one of them. I have the shades Pink Cognito and Softsilver Rose. They're incredibly creamy lipsticks with more of a satiny finish to them. These colours are so easy to wear too, these are great everyday shades. Next up I've been loving Mac Woodwinked Eyeshadow paired with a little bit of Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Ore. Together they're neutral bronze perfection with a hint of shimmer. Love.

Must-Read of the Week: Undone Journal, a New Zealand blog is a collation of all sorts of rad things. Expect to find pretty beauty, fashion and recipe posts as well as some awesome book recommendations. While we're on the subject of blogs, I've updated my Blog Roll again so head on over to the side bar if you're looking for some more reads.

Added to the Wishlist: I've been trying to make a conscious effort to use products from beauty and skincare brands that use more organic ingredients and are cruelty free. With skincare in particular I find that products with more natural ingredients in them often seem to be better for the skin as well. Anyway, I have been loving the look of RMS Beauty's products. I'm tempted by the Lip2Cheek tints in Smile and Demure as well as the Living Luminizer, a highlighter that is a favourite of Miranda Kerr's.

*Have an amazing weekend everyone! I'm off to the city today for a breath of fresh air and some errand running then I'm heading out of Auckland for the weekend. Just what the doctor unofficially ordered. xo
