Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette

How anyone can resist the Hourglass palettes is beyond me. I had a little treat yo'self moment in November and wrapped this up for myself as a Christmas present. Hourglass' Ambient Lighting powders and blushers are amazing in my opinion and this palette certainly didn't skimp on the quality.

Due to Mecca's recent price drop this palette was substantially cheaper than this one was the year before. In this palette you get three of the Ambient Lighting blush shades; Dim Infusion, Incandescent Electra (LE) and Mood Exposure. They're all incredibly wearable and super pigmented but I think these shades, with the exception of Mood Exposure, would be suited to lighter skintones. My favourite shade has to be Incandescent Electra, the limited edition shade. It reminds me of Tipsy by Tarte but with a touch of luminescence shot through it. All these blushers are reasonably long wearing, even when the weather's crazy-humid like it has been in Auckland recently.

So, was this palette worth the splurge? Absolutely. While I do have the full-sized Mood Exposure blush, I knew this palette would get so much use whenever I'm on the go or traveling. Even on a day-to-day basis at the moment it's what I am reaching for. Now Hourglass did make this palette limited edition but you can still find it online here. As the powder wardrobe was so popular last year, I would not be surprised if they bring this back as a permanent product as well.

*Have you tried any of Hourglass' Ambient Lighting blushers or this palette? What did you think of them?
