What I Love Weekly #39

1. Martha's Pantry in Wellington is quite possibly the cutest little high tea location, ever! The tables all have vintage tablecloths & flowers on them, there's pretty china aplenty, cute sweet treats & even Degas prints on the wall. If you're in Wellington you definitely should pay them a visit, if you haven't already.

2. This exhibition. Ben Cauchi takes incredible photographs, they almost resemble paintings in reality. I loved seeing his work & learning a bit more about it, especially since he was my artist model for a research paper I did in my final year of school.

3. The fact that I don't have to buy any new beauty products for a while! I still (believe it or not) have makeup that I was given at Christmas that hasn't been tried & in the last weeks I've received three more things! Here's to saving $ & avoiding the temptation of new collections.

4. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is an incredible book. I was going to review this on the blog but it's one of those books you really have to read for yourself in order to appreciate it. This line; 'We accept the love we think we deserve' is one I've been pondering a bit lately. Of course I've also been listening to all The Beatles songs included on the mixtapes a lot more lately as well.

The perfect way to relax after a day in the office!

5. Gala Darling posted this week about getting organised with your blogging. I already keep a monthly record of my posts & have a big page in the back of my diary for brainstorming but I think I'll try some of these suggestions out. Have a read here.

6. Cuba St & all its gems (I promise this is the last Wellington reference in this post!). Cuba St is more or less the Vintage mecca of Wellington. Admittedly the clothing stores were a little on the pricy side but if you're after cute pieces like china, tins & the like then it is the perfect place to hunt for those. There is also an amazing bookstore called Arty Bees, just off Cuba St that houses over 100,000 new & secondhand books. I found so many books from my childhood in there, it was fantastic.

7. MAC are releasing a collection next month (released in March in New Zealand) inspired by Archie's Girls, Betty & Veronica. Archie Comics fans rejoice! This collection is gorgeous. I love the packaging, the eyeshadow palettes come in metal tins that remind me of pencil tins from school. The pigments, eye pencils & lipsticks especially look amazing. See the collection's highlights here.

8. Mail from abroad is the best, especially when it contained the January issue of Company magazine & this purse from TopShop! Thank you so much R for sending these over for me x.

9. 'Something' by The Beatles is referenced several times throughout The Perks Of Being A Wallflower & with good reason. It is a fantastic song & coincidentally is this week's song of the week.

10. Exciting happenings with friends! Tomorrow I am going on a culinary adventure, next week I am going on a blogging adventure among others. I can't wait.

♥ I hope your week & weekends are amazing. Tonight I am off to dinner with friends & then the rest of the weekend I'll be relaxing & enjoying spending time with fabulous people...and of course catching up on blogging duties! xo
