What's in my Benefit Beauty Bag

Last week was very Benefit-fied. On Wednesday night I attended a blogger's event to celebrate the brand's launch in New Zealand. It was a great chance to learn more about the brand and have a play with their products. Thursday saw their counter's debut in Smith and Caugheys where a good hour was spent looking at the products with M and of course taking home some essentials in this gorgeous Benefit beauty bag.

High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enhancer This is the secret to achieving a healthy glow. This cream highlighter can be applied onto the brow bone and along the top of the cheekbones to create a radiant finish. Blended out this pale champagne colour looks so beautiful. It isn't too shimmery so it creates a lovely, natural highlight.

They're Real! Mascara* I've already confessed my love for this mascara here and it is a bestseller in both Myer stores throughout Australia and Sephora in the States, which says something. The formula is great, it doesn't flake or clump on the lashes and is also easy to remove. This mascara looks fabulous worn naturally or layered up with several coats.

The Porefessional* This balm acts to minimise the appearance of pores and is designed to be worn under makeup as a primer or on top to help makeup last on problem areas longer. This is a very matte product once dry so if you're prone to shinier skin you'll like this. If your skin's a bit drier then you might want to test this on counter first. I've only used a sample size of this before and was really impressed by it so I'm looking forward to testing this out properly.

World Famous Neutrals Palette in Most Glamorous Nudes This has been on my wishlist for a while and much like Most Easiest Nudes it features a range of neutral cream and powder shadows, but there are definitely more shimmery shades in this palette. The key difference though is that these shades are warmer toned. It's Complicated reminds me of a darker version of All That Glitters and My Two Cents of Chopper. I haven't used this palette yet but know it will definitely get a lot of use.

So that's my little Bene-Haul, I will no doubt blog about these products more in due course and future Benefit purchases that accidentally happen..

  1. Dying to try the Porefessional! Are there any other products you could compare it to? Like primers? It is siliconey? Anna x

    1. I've only used the Mac Prep+Prime Skin primer before which is creamy & a similar texture to a light moisturiser so the Porefessional is very different in comparison. It goes matte really fast once applied so you do need to work quickly with it. x

  3. Ooh I've been wanting to try out the mascara for ages! Last time I went to Australia I visited one of their brow bars which was fun -- they put a bit of makeup on you afterwards as well. Must pay the Smith and Caughey counter a visit...
