The Beauty Scenario Tag

The Beauty Scenario tag was created by Lily Pebbles and it's one I have always wanted to do but never got around to until now. Typically this would be a video but I didn't have time to film this. I also currently look like a tired mess so I didn't think you would want to see that.

Anyway, here's how I'd solve the following beauty scenarios..

You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore. Which do you keep? I don't actually own many foundations and bases mainly because I struggle to find colours that don't make me look overly orange. The ones I do own are not my favourites either. I'd probably get rid of them and replace them with something else, like the new Chanel Perfection Lumiere-Velvet foundation or Jouer's Matte Moisture Tint.

You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely? Ignore it completely, because then it might just make the rest of the interview awkward.

You're not feeling your best and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful? Impassioned by Mac. It's a vibrant, raspberry pink and it always makes me feel happy and beautiful when I'm wearing it. Magic lipstick perhaps?

You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently? Hair-I would not insist on caramel blonde highlights. They always took forever to grow out of my hair and made it look blonde in the worst possible way. Makeup-I would use concealer, tinted moisturiser (not foundation) and powder. Maybe a little bit of mascara. No glitter eyeshadow. To be honest I didn't wear an awful lot of makeup to school. In fact I think most days I just wore black eyeliner, a brown mascara and lipgloss.

You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder-length Pixie Lott haircut but they hear wrong and give you a pixie cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave & call your Mum hysterical? B) Cry in the chair and things get awkward. C) Complain to the manager and demand a refund. Worst nightmare! I'd probably cry in the chair and then complain and demand a refund. Either way it would not be pretty.

Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which ‘do it all’ palette do you pack in your makeup bag? This would stress me out so much! I'd definitely take my Mac eyeshadow palette though. There'd be no point trying to narrow it down to a quad, that would use up my whole packing hour.

Your house has been robbed, don’t worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What’s the product you really hope is safe? This was hard so there's a few products I've chosen. First up the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette because it was limited edition and it'd be very difficult to replace. Next we have the Josie Maran Cheek Gelee and L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows. Both of these products you can't buy in New Zealand so they were harder to get. Lastly Bobbi Brown Corrector although mine is looking pretty beaten up. If someone stole this I would be very upset. It's my makeup security blanket.

Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven’t noticed or b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of
theirs? If you know me you'll know I try to avoid conflict where possible so I'd probably go for A. If it really mattered I could just go out and buy another one.
