In the film Moulin Rouge, this song is described by Christian as the lover's secret song. It was a not so subtle way for him and Satine to share their forbidden love on stage each night during their show. It plays out beautifully on film as you can see.

Come What May is sung by Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman in the film. It was the 8th highest selling single in Australia during 2001. It would've been nominated for best original song at the Academy Awards. Unfortunately it was originally intended for Baz Luhrmann's film, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet.
