"Physically she produces many effects at once; her look could equally be thirties or seventies, Glastonbury set or Glastonbury raver." -Richard Godwin, British Vogue, January 2012.

Why is Florence Welch amazing? Let me count the ways. Florence is probably best known for fronting the band 'Florence and the Machine'. Yet it is the way she carries herself both physically and mentally that leaves her fans wonderstruck. Her composure is very delicate, very fairylike, yet at the same time quite scatty.

Florence began her performing career in 2007, with her first album 'Lungs' released two years later. She cites Francoise Hardy and Stevie Nicks as inspirations, with her billowing dresses worn onstage marking tribute to Nicks. Yet her offstage wardrobe is just as credible as her music.  Florence sources outfits from rare vintage finds (some are as little as 50p!) and then mixes them in with couture pieces, like a Chanel jacket. Many designers have been influenced by her fashion sense as of late so chances are we may see some Florence inspired ensembles making their way into the shops very soon!
