The Week #66

The Week in Instagrams @nanawintour: *The birthday beauty haul, *Having my makeup done at Mecca with Nars and Hourglass products aplenty *Sharing the glossy love *My current go-to eye products *A David Downton illustrated card that I received for my birthday *Surprise cupcakes for a family lunch-chocolate and raspberry..so good! *Watching The Bling Ring at the Civic Theatre with Britney *My stunning birthday cake from Bluebells Cakery. It was almost too good to cut *Watching Alix's latest video and reading up on all things Diptyque *Obligatory selfie after having my makeup done *New to the library *My birthday nails as done by Leah Light in her gorgeous new salon.

Must-Watch of the Week: I don't know if it's just the unnaturally warm Winter we've been having in Auckland but I have really been enjoying watching the Summer-themed beauty videos from American and British vloggers of late. Alix of I Covet Thee vlogged a Summer Edit of all things beauty and skincare. I really enjoyed this series and it got me excited for Summer as well as all its potential holidays. More on that soon..

Product of the Week: Diptyque Philosykos  eau de toilette has been reigning supreme this week with my other fragrance options being passed over. Its scent is unlike anything else I have owned or worn in the past and I love it. This perfume also has ridiculously good staying power as well so you aren't left having to re-spritz too often throughout the day.

Must-Read of the Week: I stumbled upon this post about falling out of love with your blog by accident this week. This happened to me about a year ago but on a lesser scale and as a blogger/writer it really isn't something you want to experience. Kat talks about how a blog is like a magazine and approaching it that way is actually very freeing. Sometimes sticking to your niche, whether it be fashion or food 24/7 can get boring. By approaching your blog like a magazine you can mix content up and add some variety to your blog which keeps things fresh and exciting.

Added to the Wishlist: After a quick cast over the 'What's New' section on Mecca's website I noticed that the Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment has finally arrived on our shores. Shannon from Shaaanxo vlogged about this mask a couple of months ago and the results she had were incredible. I even considered ordering this from Sephora. This mask will be fantastic for clearing up skin in Summer time. Penny saving has commenced as of now..
