Christmas Gift Guide

Last week I shared my beauty picks for Christmas 2013, but what about the girl who's just not that into all things beauty? Here's the best of the rest. There's something for Mum, your sister, your best friend and maybe even yourself.

A Sentence A Day Journal. I've gifted this a couple of times this year and own a copy myself and love it. This really stands out from your traditional blank journal. Each day over three years you answer a question in a sentence. There's a variety of questions on anything from your favourite colour to decisions you regret. I think this would make a great stocking-stuffer for someone, more so if they like writing.

Sabel Cutout Bra. Pretty lingerie wrapped up in tissue paper and secured with a ribbon seems to get many ladies swooning. Lonely lingerie is so beautiful and can be easily mixed and matched so you're sure to find something you love.

Glass Ornament. When I spotted this in Typo I was reminded of the cupcake bag from the first Sex and the City movie. Christmas ornaments look cute attached to the outside of presents alongside gift tags. Think of them as an extra present that the recipient can then save and use for their own tree.

Flower Cluster Ring. Karen Walker has an extensive array of jewelry but this flower ring is my favourite. It's simple, not too flashy and a classic piece. This ring is next on my wishlist, it's just so beautiful and I love it.

Figuier Candle. There's not many girls who would say no to a candle, especially when they smell as exquisite as Diptyque's. This fig scented offering smells Christmassy and fills rooms with the most delicious scent. Keep an eye out for Diptyque's exclusive Christmas candles and range of miniatures too when you browse the shops.

The Toucan Print. If you know someone creative then a colourful print that you've chosen yourself is bound to go down a treat. If they're an animal lover then they are sure to appreciate Evie's prints. I love the bright colours in this Toucan artwork by Evie Kemp. It'd brighten up any room it's placed in.

Eclipse Sunglasses. These sunglasses are sure to make a statement, especially with that eye-catching gold. Add these to your wishlist or treat someone special in your life. If standout shades aren't their thing then be sure to check out the classic Number One shades.

Real Techniques 'Sam's Picks' Collection. Real Techniques brushes are some of the best on the market in my opinion. One of their greatest qualities is they won't cause too much damage to your bank account. This set contains six of Sam Chapman's favourite brushes, including the popular buffing and multi-task brushes. This would be perfect for somebody who's just getting into makeup or to build up your existing brush collection with a range of multi-use brushes.

Swan Lake Vase. Do you have a vintage loving friend? She'd love this vase from Iko Iko. It'd look stunning filled with peonies or her flowers of choice. Iko Iko also have an extensive array of vintage inspired homewares and pieces from Citta Design so be sure to check them out if you're in Auckland or Wellington.

Monogram Card Set. One for the stationery lovers. It's monogrammed, embossed and comes with polka dot envelopes. What's not to love..

String of Gardenia Fairy Lights. Floral fairy lights that you can display and jazz up your space with all year round? Yes please. Be wary that because these are from ASOS you may need to get yourself an adaptor plug if you're outside England.

It by Alexa Chung. Now I'm sure this book is on many a girl's wishlist, it seems to be doing the rounds on the Gift Guides this season. This book is an easy read and offers insights into Alexa's inspirations on her idols, fashion and more.

So that concludes my gift guide posts for 2013. I hope this has given you some inspiration if you're not quite done with Christmas shopping. Let me know what's on your Christmas wishlist in the comments below!
