What I Love Weekly #30

1. This time last week I was walking through town in a daze, the reason being that I had just attended the Rookie 2012 Fashion Show. I've never been to a student showcase or exhibit of any kind before & it definitely didn't disappoint. See some photos of the night here.

2. A bedroom that smells like a Lush store. Some of my Christmas shopping thus far has been from Lush & I've been hiding everything in a corner of my wardrobe so whenever I open the doors it smells like Lush! It's rather heavenly.

3. I think we can all agree by now that Tavi Gevinson is amazing. Just in case you need further proof have a read of this.

4. Sprinkling glitter, just because. I love doing this to brighten a gloomy day or to hopefully make a friend's day by sprinkling glitter in any post I may send.

Pretty Peonies!

5. The greatness that is Vanity Fair. I'm undoubtedly rather late jumping on this bandwagon but how good is this magazine?? Their writing is incredibly well done. If you haven't read a Vanity Fair story before then scroll back up to #3. Their interview with Tavi is a good place to start.

6. If anyone can make a 'mullet dress' look good Isabella can. I love the print on the dress & the cut-outs paired with the heeled boots.

7. This song. "And the only thing you are is a child of the universe." I love this track.

8. The ultimate teenage girl revival DVD kit. This week I picked up one of those 4 pack DVD box sets called the Girls' Night Collection. It contains: A Cinderella Story, The Clique, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants & What A Girl Wants. Excuse me while I disappear to be nostalgic.

9. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Those Macarons at Dizengoff are pretty darn good, arguably the best in Auckland. Get yourselves there to try them.

10. Beauty Site Feel Unique is online heaven. This'll be my new online stop to find brands & products we can't get in New Zealand. Do be warned, it is dangerous & there is the potential to waste, ahem, I mean wisely spend time on there.

11. Peonies are my favourite flower of the moment! They are so so pretty.

-Some extras: I reviewed the new Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam foundation over on nzgirl this week. Read my thoughts here. I also did a guest post for Hazel Loves Design's blog about Beauty Gift Ideas for Christmas this week. Have a look

*I hope everyone has fabulous weekends & Friday's wherever you may be. I'll be found picnicking, theatre-going & having a sleepover+movie nights of sorts tomorrow+this weekend, I can't wait!
