Everyday Makeup Routine

There is nothing quite like the ritual that is gathering up the tools, the makeup bag and propping oneself in front of the mirror. Beauty arsenal at the ready, makeup brush in hand, let the regime begin.

After a spritz of Caudalie Beauty Elixir and Mac Fix+ it's straight on with Mac Prep+Prime Skin to act as a base for makeup and help it last that little bit longer. A layer of Mac Studio Moisture Tint is buffed into the face. Some dabs of Bobbi Brown Corrector and Origins Plantscription Concealer has coverage sorted. I then powder with my well-loved Mac Studio Careblend compact paying close attention to the t-zone and the sides of my face. Nars Laguna Bronzer on an angled brush is perfect for contouring and adding a bit of colour to the high points of the face. It's not too brown and definitely not orange in the slightest. A slight pinch of blush, Nars Orgasm and Mac Soft & Gentle for highlighting has the cheeks covered. Then it's on to brows which I run Mac Charcoal Brown through on an angled brush and then we enter eye territory, my favourite step of this process. Nars Rue Bonaparte is the waterline colour of choice, a pinky-nude offering that instantly brightens up the eye. Paired with the La Ligne de Chanel palette in #10 and it makes for a fuss free liner look. A slick of Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base followed by a dash of Mac Lets Skate Paint Pot and I have the perfect base for the eyeshadow of the moment. All That Glitters, a beautiful champagne-pink shadow is swept across the lids and then lashings of Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Cat Eye* or Benefit They're Real mascara are applied to the lashes, depending on my mood. A final sweep of Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine or YSL Rouge Volupte Shine #8 over the lips, one last spritz of Fix+ and I'm good to go.

A fairly low key, easy to adapt and rather quick look to achieve which is just the way I like it. Now to master getting this done in twenty minutes or less.
